Public transport in Angola continues to be weak. Many of the old railway lines are still out of service. But there are great efforts to rebuild a railway network.
Some connections have already been rebuilt and trains are running between the following cities:
Luanda -Viana
Stops: Luanda Muceques, Filda, Gamek, Estalagem, Comarca, Viana
Timetable:Monday to Saturday, from 5 am to 7 am, leaving every hour from Luanda/Viana, reaching Viana/Luanda in 50 mins
Luanda - Catete
Stops: Luanda Muceques (5.30 pm), Viana (6.20 pm), Baia (6.52 pm), Catete (7.45 pm)
Stops: Catete (6.20am), Baia (7.00 am), Viana (7.30 am), Luanda Muceques (8.15 am)
Timetable: Monday to Saturday
Luanda - Malange
Stops: Luanda (5 am), N Dalatando (10.30 - 10.50 am), Malange (1.50 pm)
Timetable: Monday and Friday
Stops: Luanda (5 am), Catete, Zena do Itombe, Ndalahui, Luinha, Cahoca, Lucala, N Dalatando (11.03 - 11.30 am), Kizenga, Cambuze, Cacuso, Lombe, Malange (3 pm)
Timetable: Wednesday
Malange - Luanda
Stops: Malange (7.30 am), N Dalatando (10.30 - 10.50 am), Luanda (4.20 pm)
Timetable: Tuesday and Sunday
Stops: Malange (7.30 am), Lonbe, Cacuso, Cambuze, Kizenga, N Dalatando (11.00 - 11.30 am), Lucala, Cahoca, Luinha, Ndalahui, Zena do Itombe, Catete, Luanda (5.45 pm)
