Pausada do Wembele - Sumbe - Cubal River Gorge

The resently opened Pausada do Wembele is a nice alternative to the hotels in Sumbe. It is situated approx. 10 min. after Sumbe in direction to Benguela only a few hundred meters before the Cubal River Gorge.

The Pausada offers a beautiful decorated restaurant as well as tasteful clean rooms equiped with TV, AC and mini bar.Works are ongoing and soon you will be offered drinks also on a bar right next to the beach.

Hotel Sumbe

Hotel Sumbe is one more run down hotel, but the cheaper option compared to the ones at the beach. Coming from Luanda on the way to Benguela its on your left hand right after the crossing where you turn left in order to leave Sumbe in direction to Benguela.

Rooms seemed clean and the one we saw was equiped with a big fridge.
